Prana Cafe - Leicester

Disappointed about changeover, glad there are many nearby alternatives.

Sad to visit again as 2 years ago it was vegan, but now it’s not. The vegan menu is nice but I’m disappointed

We frequent Prana often, usually for their delicious coffee cake or their tasty vegan full English breakfast. The staff and owners are always friendly and welcoming. Their coffee is exceptional and far superior to what you would find at Starbucks or Costa. They offer both vegan and non-vegan options, but use separate equipment for each. While they used to be completely vegan, they had to diversify in order to stay in business. It is important to support pure vegan restaurants like Prana in order for them to survive. Located in Leicester's town hall square, we highly recommend paying them a visit.

Been coming here for years so it’s weird to see meat being served now. There is still a full vegan menu, enjoyed the breakfast and the almond croissant was great Updated from previous review on 2023-02-11

Prana Cafe offers a comprehensive vegan menu and one of the best in Leicester. The vegan food is excellent and I would recommend it. Was disappointed to see Prana serve non-vegan food. They put this decision down to a low vegan footfall over last few years along with a rise in cost of living which was impacting their cash-flow and were facing the possibility of closure. Having been a pure Vegan Cafe for almost 5 years, they want to respect their vegan options and are taking extra precautions to prevent any cross contamination with their non-vegan options.
