The Rex - LEONARDTOWN

A Pax Alehouse server recommended testing this facility during the city of Leonard. We were not disappointed. I ordered the food to go, but the atmosphere, enjoy a beer while I waited, was great. The food was worth the trip.

The night started a little bad with someone who took our reserved table. But the service was great, and the food was very good solid 4 stars. What I and my wife were really impressed was the music that the live music was great and definitely in this place to 5 stars.

Great atmosphere, great service, great locals! I tried to eat here, but I'm always too late!! The food looks great! Fun Triva on Tues nights!! The outdoor seating area is AMAZING!! Love the fireworks!!

We love the Rex. Great food and love being able to look out at Leonardtown Square during festivals and special events. The only thing I don't like about the rex is sometimes it's just so dark and doesnt have enough lighting. I also think that they could clean just a little better. Every once in awhile you smell that moldy smell in the booths. The food is fantastic though and they have some menu items that you can't get everywhere. Great bar and a really cool place to get drinks. The staff is usually great and on point. This last visit was not the best service but they were extremely extremely busy. Will definitely be repeat customers! They also have outside seating and lots of people bring their dogs ive noticed. Try their Mac and Cheese! I also recommend their Burger on the Cuabatta roll pictured here. My husband's favorite is the Patuxent Penne with Shrimp. Also their Breton Bay drink is pictured here.

It was Friday lunchtime, and the restaurant wasn't very busy. They have outdoor seating, but we opted to sit at the bar. I ordered the Chicken Soft Taco Birria with a side salad. About 15 minutes after placing my order, my food arrived, beautifully presented, and the dipping sauce had a mild heat to it. Overall, it was a lovely lunch. The tea was served in a unique container. The food was good, and the small-town vibe added to the experience. If you're looking to unwind by the Potomac after your meal, it's just a short walk to the Magerordtown Wharf.
