Civil War Cider - Lewisburg

Great local spot with the best owners! Their plum pandemic cider is my favorite! Highly recommended if you want a chill place to grab a great drink!

I'm really pleased that this bar is being mindful of current events. They donate to fantastic organizations that genuinely care for people. The bar has a lively, upbeat atmosphere, especially on comedy nights when you'll find a lot of friendly hipster patrons. The vibe is amazing, and they truly care about the community. I hope more people decide to visit because it's undoubtedly the best bar in town.

The staff was very accommodating, allowing us to use the restroom and fill our water bottles, which was a huge help since we planned to enjoy our takeout outdoors. Overall, it was an excellent experience. The flavors listed on their website sound amazing, and I can't wait to return once the pandemic is over to see the place in full swing!

Since our party of six was looking for seating, we inquired about options, but the bartender suggested we might find enough stumps to sit on outside, as the indoor seating only accommodated two people. The plum cider was decent, but the apricot was not very enjoyable. Three of us chose the apricot, and the color and flavor were inconsistent. I've heard good things about their cider from experiences at events, but I would find it hard to justify returning to this location.

During my visit last year, the restaurant only offered canned ciders. My friend chose a peach flavor while I went for the pear. These ciders had a unique twist, not the typical apple-forward varieties like Angry Orchard or 1911. Since it was early in the day, the atmosphere was quite calm. There were some outdoor seats available—tree stumps in the back—but we decided to sit at a high table indoors since it was a bit muggy outside. I definitely plan to return to explore their other offerings, as I’d love to try more!
