Rockfish Seafood Grill - Lewisville

Our waiter was extremely shy, making it difficult to understand him. He didn’t offer any explanations about the menu, and I had to catch his attention when he walked away to ask if we could place an appetizer order. The rock trio playing was decent, but that was about it. We tried the spinach dip, which was mostly spinach with very little dip, and the "bombs," which were good. We ordered two chicken pastas along with a Cajun pasta and gumbo, and we were all quite disappointed. 1. The Alfredo pasta was tasteless, dry, and hard. My kids hardly touched it and even asked if they had to finish it. 2. The gumbo was terrible. The roux tasted burned and seemed like it had been prepared that morning. I took two bites and sent it back. The waiter offered to re-order for me without even asking what I wanted. 3. The Cajun pasta lacked flavor entirely. I loaded it with salt and pepper, but that didn't help. It was overly oily and the pasta was almost mushy—it just wasn’t good. I’m giving this place three stars because I plan to return and will just order fish, hoping that a restaurant named Rockfish can serve a decent fish dish.

We visited Rockfish for a birthday dinner and had an incredible time. Our waiter was outstanding; he made our night unforgettable with his humor. The service from the entire staff was exceptional. We also tried oysters for the first time, and it was a memorable experience! If you're looking for a fantastic seafood spot, Rockfish is the place to go. They even have outdoor seating where you can watch your children play in the splash pad while enjoying a nice cold drink. It's truly a comfortable and wonderful restaurant!

As for the restroom, it initially seemed clean, but after using it, I noticed a lot of dust and some insects around. The changing station appeared to be in disrepair. Again, considering it wasn't busy, I would expect better. The food, while decent, left a strange aftertaste. My dining companion and I each ordered different dishes (the crab-stuffed salmon and crab-stuffed fish), and although the quality was alright, it didn’t meet our expectations given the price. The flavors seemed lacking, even though each dish had an assortment of ingredients. Given the slow service and other factors, we’re uncertain if we would return. It's unfortunate because the restaurant is beautiful and has a great location, with a lot of potential.

I ate here in the evening. eating and service was great. the seafood is exactly what we wanted. the young lady waiting for the table was provisional and had fun with us. brotpudding was amazing!

My husband and I are regulars here, we try to only go when Rachael or Colin is working, don?t get me wrong the rest of the staff is great, we?ve had good experiences with them too, but Rachael and Colin are top notch! The food is always freshly made and delicious, and the drinks are not stingily poured. Coloring pages for the kids take this place to a whole other level!
