Dairy Queen - Lexington

Traveling from WV 2 Staunton, VA. for a grandsons football game. Stopped in Lexington, VA 4 early dinner and the staff was very friendly and outgoing. Food was great even with less staff than needed. Other than the bug boom (construction behindbuilding) that made everyone jump out of their skin the visit was great. Staff was quick to tell everyone that they wereblasting behind the store up the hill. No connection to DQ. Will definitely eat there again when I am in Lexington. VA

It was so bad, we left our food. This was probably the most DISGUSTING restaurant I've ever stepped foot in. We were traveling through and decided to stop for a little treat on the way home. I have Celiac Disease and DQ has NEVER made me sick before.After ordering a blizzard, I noticed the blizzard machine had a few inches of food pieces caked on to the bottom, the mixer partwas dirty, and there was milk splattered all over the machine. Also, the counters where so COVERED in toppings, it looked likesomeone had dumped a bag of toppings out and left it. They took a scoop out of the cheesecake and used it for the Reese's whichis a major contamination issue for someone who has issues with gluten or dairy. They only had a few scoops for the whole toppingbar instead of scoops for each one like I've seen at others. We decided to wait for the food and I was just going to toss it onthe way out, but then minutes went by and no one had even started the ice cream (that's all we ordered) so we just left. Thestaff was super unprofessional. All of them were in casual, street clothes (joggers, hoodies, etc), one was in a crop top withher purse strapped to the front of her and was just holding pickles in one hand with no gloves. She was also out in the lobbygetting handsy with someone sitting down eating. One boy came through with an ice bucket, was just pushing past people, didn'tsay anything because he was on the phone and didn't bother to pick up any ice he dropped, the lid of the ice bin was on thefloor, and he didn't even put it back on properly.

The food was excellent—hot, flavorful, and delivered right on schedule. Don't overlook this place any longer!

The experience was good overall, but the restaurant was clearly under-staffed. The prices felt a bit high for a party of four. It’s clear that one person cannot manage an entire restaurant on their own.

I had a small banana split that consisted of tiny scoops of ice cream drenched in pineapple juice. It was the most disappointing banana split I've ever encountered.
