Fatz Cafe - Lexington

The experience was great! Our waitress Kevin was very patient and very attentive to us. He made sure we had everything on time. The cook (Tyon) made our chicken and steak. It was so good! Definitely plan on coming back.

Went to Fatz on Augusta Hwy tonight and I was pleasantly surprised. Kevin our server was great! Friendly, welcoming and on top of our orders. I had all you can eat ribs with Kentucky Bourbon BBQ sauce. Delicious! They are under new management and theimprovements are noticeable. Will definitely go back.

If you 're into food that oddly has a thick, shell-ish film over it, this is the place for you. The rolls were hard, my mashed potato 's were hard, not hot and not seasoned, my friend 's mac and cheese had a glossy film over it showing it was frozen, the server had a beautiful waterfall of sweat running down his forehead and put me in a corner where my waiter, (Parker walked right past me about 4 times. Parker is nice, oddly charming and awkward and called me buddy every chance he could. It 's been years since I 've been to a Fatz, and it will probably be a few more before I return. I just really wanted poppyseed rolls and cinnamon butter. Im seated within eyeshot of the kitchen, where I witnessed a woman who works in the back, take food off someone 's plate and eat it before sending it out. Or at least, that 's what my eyes told my brain I saw. I 'll say this: The food is not worth it 's price. Save your money, and if you do come here, join the free VIP club courtesy of the triangular card stock pillar at your table. You 'll save $5 on your meal. (EDIT: The VIP club no longer exists. I 've had Frozen TV dinner 's better than this. I paid $17.43 for dry chicken, cold, lifeless potatoes and frozen mac and cheese.

I went around 4-5pm yesterday (November 12, 2022). The server's name was Kevin. He was awesome and so polite. I ordered the sweet tea but not my cup of tea due to it not being sweet. I swapped it out for a Mountain Dew. I haven't been here in awhile. I saw they had a whole new menu and a variety of new options. I got the grilled Salmon and swap out the rice for the baked sweet potato. The food I got was nice, hot, and fresh. They made sure to take their time to give you good food. Overall experience was pretty nice. I think the new staff they have here is doing very well. Thank you for taking the time to read my review.

This restaurant is closed. Permanently. I used to order take out from Fatz. I was sorry to see it go.
