Papa Johns Pizza - Lexington

I pick up a lot of take out...this is one of my favorite places to pick up

This is the neighborhood pizza place. 4.5 miles from the house prevents the drive to townships 11 miles away in 2 directions...so it 's convenient. We ordered 2 large pizzas. Bacon and Ham, and Cheese Extra Cheese. We like the service. And we occasionally use the delivery. I had 5 hungry grandchildren to feed, and 2 adults. The pizza was enjoyed by all for the late meal...about 8 pm, and they ate on the leftover during the next day. The pizza heats up well and I leave it out. They 're usually fast, and convenient if you 're not interested in driving and being gone all day. Delivery is usually prompt as well, but close to the holiday for the first time ever, I was told it would be an hour and a half before delivery...so I passed and went to pick it up. There are restaurants I like better for pizza and Italian. But this one is good. They have many other items on the menu besides pizza, and I love the baked meatballs with cheese. Again...great service, and do you really want Totinos, or some other freezer section pizza? The price is not $30-$50 per person. It is $10 to $20 dollars per pizza. Don 't know where the price range came from, down below this review, but I could not edit it.

New York Style Pizza was good but not like you would get in NewYork City. It should be thinner, needs more oil, and larger.

I had the worst pizza experience ever! The dough was undercooked, and the cheese wasn’t fully melted. I hadn't ordered from this place in years due to consistently receiving undercooked food, but I took a chance tonight, and I really regret it! To make matters worse, DoorDash asked for medical documentation to process a refund for my $14 nasty, raw pizza! I won’t be ordering from here again, and I'm also deleting DoorDash. The customer service is terrible! I recommend ordering from Domino's, Pizza Hut, or anywhere else instead!

My pizza arrived tilted, with all the toppings piled on one side and inside the box! The pull-aparts were also very dry.
