Safeway Management was terribly unkind; I was appalled. I went in to get a latte today at 5 PM. Only one boy was working. It was clear that he was new, but he was genuinely trying his best. He was very polite and he told me this was one of his first days being alone at the stand. Then a few more people came and ordered complicated drinks. He was getting overwhelmed with the volume. Instead of trying to do everything alone, he called over a Safeway manager to help. Said he didn’t want people to have to wait so long for their coffees. She walked over and not so kindly told him that he was on his own. Said to « deal with it. » I thought this was very rude and uncalled for. She made my shopping experience negative. The boy at the Starbucks counter made it positive. Was it so hard to lend a hand or at the very least engage with customer who were waiting for their coffee? As a manager she should have known better. Even if she didn’t help she should have been kind and supportive. I will not return to this Safeway. I would have done shopping here today if she had been kind.
Second time they've told me in last few months that they didn't have hazelnut for my latte. They added .80 cent to each latte for flavoring, which I guess would just be milk without it. Total came to $13.18 for 2 lattes. Won't be going back.

Starbucks always slaps but expect to pay 6$ per drink nonetheless, quality demands a price
