Knus gemoedelijk hotel in het centrum met een heerlijk terras. Kamers zijn modern met airco. Personeel vriendelijk hetgeen bijdraagt aan een huiselijke sfeer. Parkeren is gratis een straat verder op

No complaints in terms of staff, they thought along with us as best they could and were ashamed of how strange our overnight stay was. But the manager, owner is very rude and only wants money. On October 20 we had booked an overnight stay so that we wouldn't have to drive back after a wild dinner and a nice glass of wine at the neighbors' hotel. When sleeping in room 20 there was a lot of noise from the air conditioning, but after ten minutes it was gone. However, around half past one in the morning the noise was back and it kept us awake. This was not the air conditioning and it could not be controlled by us. The installation kept us awake for a long time. We tried to call reception with the room phone, but it was unusable and only gave a message that the phone was not registered. We called on mobile for about twenty minutes until someone from a party at the hotel answered and put the night porter on the line. You shouldn't imagine that there would be a life-threatening emergency... unsafe in fact. When the night porter came to the room and heard the noise, he was shocked. The people from room 19 were also standing in the hallway and indicated that this was the second night of noise and that the reception had reacted a bit giggly after they complained in the morning. We couldn't actually imagine this, unbelievable. Fortunately, the night porter took this seriously and those people were offered to move to room 15. After half an hour we were allowed to go to room 1, which was noticeably less insulated and the light did not function, there was no electricity possible with the card from the hotel. We just accepted it and after a lot of commotion on the street we were asleep around half past three. In the morning we had breakfast with a sound box blaring hip-hop. We asked if this could be done differently and the box was turned off to the delight of the diners present, it would have been the youth. Later at the reception we told our story. According to the reception, the manager had already contacted him (in the middle of the night?? , but that was obviously not the case. When we wanted to enter the room again, the card did not work, nor did the requested card from cleaning. The room was reset and we were able to get our things. When checking out we thought we would pay half the room price (we initially had the suite for €130 , but they asked €117.50. Astonished, we stated that we found this very unreasonable and the manager was called. The amount was reduced slightly to €100. The manager insisted on charging this amount. We wanted to get away from here, what a hotel!!! We paid and left. €100 for half a night including a move due to a defect to a room without electricity with nuisance from the street that we did not have, in disbelief we write this review a week later. Also because we received a complaint via Booking.com that we had a no-show with this booking. Could anything else go wrong with 1 simple overnight stay??? Strange, isn't it? NEVER AGAIN Pair of horses, NEVER AGAIN Lichtenvoorde. What a sad hotel!
I had a beautiful room for 2 people. No. 3 on the first floor. With separate toilet next to the bathroom. Most don't have that. Clean, air conditioning, nice shower, quiet. If you book a room, one not above the dining room. Breakfast fine. The scrambled eggs are a bit dry but fresh orange juice, nice coffee and bread. And had enough to do on it. Also fruit and yogurt. Plenty of choice. Nicely located. Nice dining, friendly staff. So great! Rooms: 5
