The location is a little incognito but this place is definitely a hidden gem. We ate the moco moco and fried chicken which were both delicious. The macaroni salad had black olives which was a first for me, it turned out to be a great combination!

Just happen to find this place as it was close by to Kauai backcountry. Had booked a tour for mountain tubing. Needed some breakfast/brunch beforehand and this did not disappoint. Had a plate lunch combo of the fried chicken and moco moco, which was ono! Nicely breaded and deep fried chicken thigh. They even pulled back the skin so you had crispy skin. The moco moco (loco moco) essentially was great and the gravy was fantastic. The small side of Mac salad was light and not overly dressed and a small piece of bread pudding as dessert. It was perfect for two of us! You can tell it's a family business chef was behind the stove and everyone else was friendly and welcoming! It's a little obscure to find, but it's located inside the Hamamaulu trading company. Inside are some local small and shops. Look for it across a Shell gas station.
I recently discovered this restaurant a few weeks ago, and I'm so glad I did! The food is excellent, and the owner/chef is incredibly friendly. I've tried almost all of their plate lunch options, and my favorites are the fried chicken and hamburger steak. The fried chicken is made to order—it's juicy and flavorful, with no bones, which I really appreciate! The hamburger steak is classic comfort food, featuring a nicely seasoned beef patty topped with savory brown gravy and mushrooms. The mac salad is also fantastic—it rivals Keoki's by the airport! Each plate lunch comes with a small piece of bread pudding, which is absolutely amazing! I've even returned just for a full order of it. The photo shows the Chopped Steak and Hamburger Steak. While the Chopped Steak had a bit too much fat and chewiness for my taste, it was still decent. Overall, I highly recommend Epic Eats!
