Bidra med feedbackI had a bad experience here, I went to dinner with three friends, we asked for a table at the waitress.
A place to eat late at night when all other restaurants are closed. they offer unique dishes, most Flemish style.
Do not be deterred by the two queues outside this restaurant, they are there for a reason! After no more than a few minutes wait (the staff are very efficient) you are given an option to eat on the terrace or indoors. Personally I prefer to eat under the huge umbrellas where heating is also supplied if needed, as the atmosphere is so much better than inside. The staff are friendly and under pressure to cope with this very busy restaurant which they do with ease. The food is simply first rate. The locals love their food and this is reflected in the choice and size of meal on offer at La Chicoree. I was not prepared for the huge portions and slightly over-ordered. We enjoyed our meal so much we returned the following evening and were glad we did. The food was even better and there was a definite 'buzz'', a great ambience.Whilst other neighbouring restaurants have empty tables and La Chicoree constantly has a queue it is easy to see why. Do persevere with the wait as it is worth waiting for, but bear in mind the generous portions. A great restaurant!!
