Bidra med feedbackAbsolutely love this place. Tacos are delish. They have been our go to spot this summer. There's always a line around dinner time because the word is out! But service is fast and the employees are great. You can eat in or take out. And to make it even better, it's BYOB. Get some tacos. You won't be disappointed.
I REALLY wanted to love this place...but unfortunately, I did not. Perhaps $4 doesn't sound like a lot of money for a taco..but considering how small they are, and the fact that you'd need at least 2 to feel satisfied...ok, but then please be kind enough to put a little bit more food inside. I ordered 3 different tacos and only 1 of them was up to standard. I understand you may have overhead$ costs etc., but, for the most part all I got was a taco shell with a smidgen of food. Now, the scallop taco was very tasty AND it had adequate ratio of filling to shell, but the pork taco and the Mahi taco were severely overcooked and dry, and, again, not enough actual meat. I will give this place ONE more try, only to try their cheesesteak eggrolls...but there better be some meat inside these wonton wrappers!
I've only been here twice but both times have been phenomenal. The scallop tacos were awesome and their nachos are the next I've ever had.
I don't usually post reviews; however, in this instance I felt the need to, for a few reasons. To start: I visited the Margate location. The staff member who took my order was very friendly, and wore a mask, as was required, according to signs posted near the entrance. However, as I stood in line waiting to order, patrons were NOT wearing masks. In fact, my comments to one of the unmasked individuals in line were met with antagonism, and I was given no support from the restaurant staff. When I looked inside the window while waiting for my order, I understood why: a majority of the kitchen staff were not wearing masks at all or had them pulled under their chins. I do not understand the point of having a sign up that indicates that you won't serve people without masks if it's not enforced. The young man who was annoyed by my comments walked up to the window and picked up his food maskless, again to no protest from the counter staff, and returned a second time for sodas; again maskless. And that's just the start. The food was beyond disappointing. I had 2 steak tacos, and while one was loaded with beef, the other had 2 pieces. The steak was rubbery and chewy. The Mahi taco was a maybe a single one ounce small fish strip that tasted previously frozen, and was topped off with a rock hard mango salsa; also flavorless. The jackfruit taco tasted pretty much solely like RAW chili powder. The corn shells fell apart immediately when picked up, and tasted like they weren't even warmed slightly to regain that toasty flavor. You cant just pull them out of the package and have them taste like restaurant quality. The sides were bland, Street Corn... right now corn is in season and it was clearly frozen. The Mexican Rice had no flavor with even less salt, and tasted like it had been boiled in water with a small amount of tomato paste for color. For the price this place charged for my meal, it should be starving for higher standards in this great shore town.
Two locations one in Margate and one in Linwood. We tried the one in Lynnwood The quesadillas were very good lots of cheese and the regular tacos were also very good made to order
