The Crafty Hound - Lisburn

Called in for early Sunday lunch. Had roast beef was superb. Yorkshire puddings superb. Friendly helpful staff. Would happily return again.

Four older girls, meeting for food and chat. We were delighted with the range of choices Three choose from the vegan list as the choices were so inviting. Sweet Chili chicken was chosen from the main menu. The restaurant was pretty busy but the staff were very attentive A lovely evening, beautiful food, all four of us were wowed!! Thank you Crafty Hound! We plan to return

The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was charming. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

I was disappointed with my dining experience at this restaurant. We were seated quickly and our orders were taken promptly, but the mussels and wings were just average in taste. Our main dishes arrived before we had even finished our starters, and both the pasta dish and chicken curry were bland and unsatisfying. I ended up feeling queasy after the meal. Overall, I was very disappointed with the food quality and service.

We arrived at 6:55pm for our 7:00pm reservation for a party of 4. We waited in the hallway behind other customers until 7:20pm before being seated at our table. Unfortunately, our table was not set and we were not provided with cutlery. A young waiter quickly took our drink orders, which arrived promptly. However, another 25 minutes passed before anyone took our food order, despite there being many waitstaff running around. When we finally flagged down a server to take our order, we were informed that our table was not his responsibility and he would send our waiter over. After a 10-minute wait, we were told that our waiter still had a few more tables to attend to before getting to us. By this point, it was nearly 8:00pm. After waiting for an hour, we were finally noticed by an older lady who we assumed was the manager. She took our order, provided us with cutlery, and apologized sincerely for the delay. The starters arrived 10 minutes later, with one being incorrect. The manager apologized again and brought out the correct starter. Our main courses arrived in a timely manner after we finished our starters, but once again, the food was not prepared as requested. Despite this, we were so hungry at that point that we just ate the food. Overall, the quality of the food was only average and the service was unacceptable. It is unlikely that we will return to this restaurant.
