A&W Restaurant - Listowel

Visit as often as possible find there burgers far better than McDonald's have better taste and more are more filling. Usually do the drive thru thing and service is very fast.

Just had chicken strips and sweet potatoes fries and two chicken wraps and onion rings. The sweet potatoe fries were soft and undercooked. The onion rings were the worst I've ever experienced. They were greasy salty and the batter fell all off them.

We arrived in Listowel on Friday night and after such a negative dining experience that evening at another restaurant we chose A&W for breakfast on Saturday morning, I had my usual Classic, which did not disappoint, the food came out hot, the over easy eggs were cooked perfectly. This is our go-to breakfast place when we are on the road. The 2 staff on duty were polite and friendly. This is one of the smaller locations we have visited but we were not disappointed!

Tonight March 11 2016 I once again had the awful experience of having supper at the A&W restaurant located in Listowel Ontario Canada. Now don't get me wrong I love A&W and have been a satisfied customer for years, tho with my move to listowel I've had the horrid pleasure of having ate at this establishment. I'm sorry to say but I've gone there a few times now and each time the lobby is filthy God forbid there is a wiped down table to sit at or even when u ask a manger if they could clear a table u get treated so poorly the washrooms are so nasty idk how they ever get past a sanitary check it's literally toxic. And speaking of toxic the way this one manager girl is to the customers and staff is just appalling I've never seen part time high school students so on edge and frightened working at an establishment. Each time I've gone to this location I am shocked at how many customers in line get treated so poorly and swear they won't be returning. One time I even went to complain to the owner and the staff couldn't locate him until one of his managers found him smoking marijuana in the back of the restaurant I was in complete shock that this behavior was coming from an owner. In my honest opinion I feel this establishment can only improve by being burnt to the ground.

Although there are no skaters bringing our order to the car, A & W is still our favourite spot for a burger and root beer. Over the years, we've added rings along with the fries. And here's a tip to get hot food. If the person serving you reaches for the already prepared items in the slots between the kitchen and the front counter, ask for fresh. Burgers are ok since they stay hot longer, and they'll take longer to make fresh. But unless you just saw them go into the slots, always be sure you're getting hot fries and rings by asking for fresh made.
