Long John Silver's - Litchfield

I visited when they first reopened and while it was decent, it wasn't exceptional. However, my most recent visit two weeks ago was quite disappointing, and I have no intention of returning. The prices are outrageous for the quality of food served. The fish had a greasy texture, almost like a sponge, and the fries were rubbery, suggesting they had been sitting around before being served again. The hushpuppy was unappetizing—greasy and overcooked, and when you broke it open, it was nearly hollow inside. If you want to stay in business, I recommend getting new management. When I called to speak with the manager, it turned out to be the same person who served me at the window. They were unfriendly and couldn't answer my questions properly, bluntly stating through the speaker that they could provide the information but wouldn't. All I was trying to find out was the price of the chicken strips without a meal.

We visited the restaurant around 2:30 PM, and unfortunately, the place was messy, with a slippery floor. We ordered fish and some other dishes; however, the fries were cold and greasy. The coleslaw had way too much dressing compared to our previous visits. Given how much we spent, we expected the food to be hot, and considering it wasn't very busy, it seemed like the food had been sitting under the heat lamp for too long. It also appeared that they had been closed for a while, so we expected a cleaner environment. Overall, we’re not sure if we’ll return.

Ordered my food at 8:15. Paid cash. Was told to move to a parking spot. Didn't get my food until 8:35, and that was AFTER I had to ask the people working where my order was. Glad I checked it before I left, because they didn't even get the order correct...No hush puppies... Had to go back thru drive thru again to have them get it right, and by the time I got them, food was cold. Look, I've worked fast food. I know you're trying to save clock time for the drive thru... But that was just plain dumb. Andafter all that aggravation, the only thing said to me was Sorry... Absolutely no incentive to come back. If I could give a nostar review, I would. I'll never go back there again.

The food was as wonderful as I remembered. And the A W rootbeer was awesome. My son had never been to an A W and was really impressed. It was a nice change of pace in fast food.

The restaurant is rarely open because of staffing shortages. They should consider closing it for good. The food tastes like it’s been fried in old grease, and the prices are incredibly high.
