Bidra med feedbackI finally discovered a bakery that uses real butter and creates amazing homemade cakes! My mom wanted a Mounds-inspired cake—chocolate on the inside with coconut cream cheese frosting—and Loafers definitely delivered! Everyone raved about how delicious the cake was; some even thought it was homemade. We’ve been let down by other traditional bakeries that use shortening in their frosting, which has a completely different taste. Loafers did a fantastic job, and their prices are very reasonable. This is now our go-to place for birthdays and special occasions!
Whoever believes this is a good bakery has clearly never experienced a truly great one, like those that used to exist in Roslyn Heights or Mineola. They offer a wide variety of items, but they lack sophistication and are simply overloaded with sugar and dough.
I've lived just up the street from this bakery, and every three days they bake their goods fresh, serving them warm. I love their food and visit occasionally, but I often see people coming in daily with smiles on their faces. With friendly local employees, this bakery truly stands out as one of the best in all of Nassau County.
This place never looked appealing b/c of the astoundingly unattractive and dated signage (dated as in just old, not vintage . you have to really look to find that type of font. but i was desperate for a non grocery store pie for thanksgiving so i went in. i could tell that the people running this place work hard and mean well but they could really benefit from a consultation w/ a designer or marketing specialist. first the plastic cling wrap they use really cheapens the look of all their products also seems vaguely unclean. this is not a middle school bake sale it's a business.. second they have baskets of savory (eg. chicken drumsticks!!! really! right next to cling wrapped loaves of banana bread. third the whole place is a overwhelmingly cluttered. fourth very few of the items have price tags so you have to ask for each item. having said that, the baked goods are pretty good the pecan cookies are especially delicious. banana bread is great too. cornbread is nice if you like it sweet. my advice your products all taste better than average. get the stiffer cellophane plastic to wrap the items, design some cute stickers w/ the name contact info (or ribbon and clear the place out a bit. keep the savory and sweet separate and apart. if you have to keep that name LOAFERS, for gods sake, consider a different font. (visit Heritage Bakers in GlenCove they've done a great job w/ signage and presentation .
Had a great experience in this spot with my girlfriend. The food comes out rapidly and the customer service is just fantastic. Prices are convenient.
