Village Donut - Lodi

This is Lodi's unsung best donut shop. The prices are more reasonable than those of some of their local competitors, the coffee is good, and the donuts are the tastiest in town.

Love this place with the old owners. When I first tried it with the new owners, the donuts had a weird banana flavor. I tried again and so much better. Not the same as before but still good. Have several new kinds. The new owners are really trying hard.

$3 For a fancy donut, a chocolate sprinkle donut. First time going and last time going.

Bad service, dishonest and rude, just going to keep getting them from the shell on turner, don't get donuts often but this business is not worth my time, wish I lived by STARR

This has been my favorite donut shop for over 20 years. The husband and wife always greet me the same way each time and I've even placed orders at 4 AM for pick up that day and he has always come through for us. Most recently the couple sold, and retired, their niece and nephew bought the place and the donuts are somewhat different now, but I'm assuming the new guy is working out the bugs. I truly hope this is the case, I was in a couple days ago to get an old fashion chocolate, and the donut didn't even resemble an old-fashioned chocolate so I'm hoping maybe he just had an off day. one good thing that they do now is they make chocolate raised with sprinkles, this used to be what I would special order at 4 AM usually on a weekly basis from the old owners so now they are just available to anyone which is very nice. I'm praying now-that the new owners live up to what the old owners made me accustomed to for over 20 years. Village Donuts, Lodi, Ca. the best donuts for 20+ years hopefully the new owners figure it out.
