Bidra med feedbackAs I waited—in a nearly empty restaurant— I found it hard to ignore the loud music blaring from the kitchen. While it didn’t bother me too much, I felt it was not the kind of music you’d expect in a family-friendly establishment. My children would probably recognize the songs, but I didn’t, and the repeated use of phrases like “work your ass” was quite inappropriate for a business setting. When my food finally arrived, I looked for the marinara sauce but found there was none. No big deal; I was still willing to wait. An employee even checked my bag, seemingly doubting my word about the missing 50-cent container of sauce. After confirming it wasn’t included, he kindly went back to retrieve it for me. I planned to enjoy my meal in the car, but my enthusiasm quickly faded when I discovered that the food was cold—yes, really cold. The marinara was ice-cold, straight from the fridge, and had the consistency of tomato paste, which is fine in theory, but in reality, it even tasted like tomato paste! I wouldn’t recommend this place for takeout unless the owner is present. On a positive note, I did warm up my “tomato paste” in the microwave and enjoyed the calzone and breadsticks. The breadsticks are complimentary with your order and are truly exceptional—I devoured them before I even got home!
