A real disappointment after all the great reviews. The service was primitive-staff were not sleek or professional as they should be ina restaurant of this level. The room is nothing special at night. The food was good. Just that. Not creative or exciting or special. Fresh fish- as it should be but nothing more. Couldn't even find a dessert enticing enough to order. Really disappointed with this place.

We had a fantastic meal at The Goring celebrating my wife’’s birthday, the food was delicious! We had a slightly slow start with being served and unfortunately were sat right next to the entrance/exit from the kitchen. I had emailed previously to request a table in a romantic location due to the birthday celebrations so was slightly disappointed with this. Overall it was great though and we enjoyed a cocktail in the lounge area afterwards listening to the piano play. Would recommend
