Bidra med feedbackWe have been dying to wine and dine at Kudu, it didn’t disappoint! It’s a lovely atmosphere, feels like a real treat and the food is at another level. I would definitely recommend putting this restaurant on your list.
The food was delicious, lovely vibe and friendly staff. My only feedback is that the pricing for the Onglet is confusing and just not obvious when you order. It should be pointed out (simply a friendly heads up) by the staff that this is the only dish on the entire menu that states the price per person or even better, just price it for what it is: £39. You do this for the bread and butter which is also recommended for two but not priced per person, just per dish like everything else on the menu. Restaurants like Coal Office or Caravan that do sharing plates all price per dish, including the larger plates. Yes there is a tiny 'each ' after the price but it is very easily overlooked. Given we weren 't the only ones questioning this when we got the bill (the table next to us were just as surprised) it 's something worth looking into. I hope you take this on board in a positive way as everything else was great. Thanks, Julia.
Have visited twice now. Once pre lockdown, and once post. The quality has remained consistent. Fantastic food, friendly staff, and great atmosphere.
The food was spectacular. Very cosy atmosphere. Good music. I am definitely going back to try the other dishes, as I would recommend every dish I ate. We also had incredible cocktails at Smokey Kudu before our dinner.
Incredible, delicious, inventive, and reasonably priced food! I can't believe I didn't discover this gem sooner. We visited this restaurant for brunch, and I opted for the sourdough waffle topped with duck eggs and house-cured salmon, while my partner chose the shakshuka with homemade sausage. Both dishes were outstanding. The waffle was perfectly crispy on the outside, soft, slightly chewy, and lightly sweet with a delightful buttery flavor. The poached eggs were absolutely perfect, and the house-cured salmon had a delicate taste that complemented the sweet waffle beautifully. With a garnish of crème fraîche, the dish was simply impeccable. For dessert, we shared the sesame ice cream paired with chocolate ganache and chocolate crumble, accented with a thin layer of sesame seed—easily some of the best desserts I've ever tasted. Even though I live quite a distance away, I would gladly return many times just to sample more of their menu.
