Zumbura - London

As usual, superb high quality food – fresh ingredients, no Ghee anyone who has not tried this really should

Zumbura is an excellent fusion Indian in Clapham Old Town, close to Clapham Common. The menu is great with lots of choice and some unique dishes. The restaurant has a good set-up with a very nice bar. All this and the prices are very good also. Go visit!

Visited this little gem in pleasant Clapham Old Town (5 minutes walk approximately from Clapham Common tube on Northern line), in a group of nine for our traditional Xmas curry. Pleasant and efficient service with a unique selection of Indian themed cocktails mocktails e.g. Indian Mule , ****** Spicy Mary and one with turmeric infused gin to name a few. Also offer an electric selection of beers conventional Cobra Kingfisher plus rarer Indian IPAs and a nice Morrocan beer, Casablanca . We ate from the set menu which was a mixture of veg and non veg: Papads, lamb chops, onion bhaji, chicken tikka as starters. Mains were Lambs Railway curry, Murgh (chicken) masala, Sag panner, tarka daal and cumin potatoes. Couldn 't fit in dessert but saw another table devouring Kulfi ice cream on a stick. Would definitely revisit, trekking from NW London where we are spoilt for choice with authentic Indian establishments. Only reason I have given a 4 and not 5 rating is that I feel that more spice could have been used e.g. with the lamb chops which nevertheless were lean and tender.

My daughter raves about this restaurant. Our experience this evening was not what we hoped for. The service was first class. The food was horrendous, so salty, unable to eat it. I did complain, nothing was said, no apology, which surprised me. Will not go again.

Great food. Very helpful staff. Nice choice of drinks and mocktails. The restaurant is in a nice area of Clapham old town. The ambience within the restaurant is welcoming and chilled.
