Marienbad Restaurant - London

Had a great dinner this evening with a friendService was quick and efficient although not many people here except for a larger private group.

I came here for a dinner with co-workers and we had booked the atrium for a party of about 16-17 people.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in London. Old school décor, lots of beers choices and some of the best Steak Tartare we've tasted. Serving size is generous and if you haven't(or have) had Goulash, this dish is a must and the potato dumplings are heavy(as they should be) but a great vessel to soak up all that awesome sauce.

I have lived in London all my life and had never heard of this restaurant before. The building dates back to 1854 and was the original home of Josiah Blackburn of the London Free Press. The Marienbad Restaurant opened in March 1974. Marienbad is located in the western part of the Czech republic near the borders of Germany and Austria. The decor is very heavy and dark but perfect for the 1854 building. We both ordered the Wiener Schnitzel and enjoyed it immensely.
