Sonoma'z Wine Grill - Lone Tree

To eat our first time at sonoma’z and we were not disappointed. the brot and the butter plate was so unique between the seasoned butters and the unique breadboard display. my man ordered the new york strip and I cooked the salmon. to perfection and beautifully decorated. we're coming back. a fantastic date night!

Sunday 6pm reservation. Bar had 3 patrons, restaurant none. We stood at hostess stand for 10min just to see an employee to seat us. Very limited menu. This felt like a restaurant trying to check the box that the hotel had a restaurant. Very few menu options. Food was C+/B-. Once a waitress did appear she was great. This wasnt the upscale dining we expected.

Sonoma'z Grill is very nice and comfortable. The service was excellent. The appetizers were okay but not great. The Fried Breaded Avocado had no flavor unless you got some of the very little salsa provided. The Brussell Sprouts with Bacon were cooked until black. The taste varied depending upon the amount of char. My husband had the Pork Medallions and really liked the dish. Our friends had the Salmon Salad and the Salmon entree. Both were well done and they were pleased. I had the Airline chicken. The chicken consisted of two boneless breasts with winglets that had been baked. Under it were noodles in a sauce. Sadly someone salted the sauce to the point of inedibility and that did in the noodles as well. I was able to get another plate and eat the chicken but that was all. We had the Flourless Chocolate Torte that was excellent. The restaurant did comp my meal since I got so little of it which was nice. the wine list was very good. We will probably go back but not for the chicken.
