Promenade Cafe - Long Beach

My sister and I decided to celebrate her birthday with dinner on the Queen Mary. She had never been there before, and it had been over a decade since my last visit. Joined by our mom, it turned out to be the perfect day trip. While we chose the Promenade Cafe for its casual atmosphere, the service had an elegant, Old Hollywood charm that felt very professional. I ordered the Chicken Panini, which was quite tasty, and Mom had the chicken and waffles. However, the standout dish was definitely the Brisket Burger that the birthday girl chose. One bite was enough for me to rate the cafe four stars, thanks to the fantastic service and the lovely view of the Long Beach port.

The food here is excellent. However, there's something off about the staff. I believe the manager should be replaced. I've been here for two days, and many of the employees seem a bit lacking in warmth. While the workers do their jobs, they aren't particularly friendly. On the bright side, the food is piping hot, delicious, and full of flavor. The chef and kitchen staff clearly know what they're doing; they even managed to prepare extra crispy bacon on my father's burger upon request. Speaking of burgers, it was one of the best I've had! The Kinderburger is also impressively delicious and massive. The fries were great too! The green soup was well-seasoned, and the clam chowder was just how I like it—on the slightly more liquid side. The smoked potato peel was hot and the cheese curds were delightful, complemented by a very flavorful sauce. We also tried the club sandwich, which featured thick slices of meat and was quite large! The nearby ship museum was the highlight of my lunch; it was fantastic to see the models right outside the restaurant.

Absolutely delicious! We had breakfast on Sunday and the four of us opted for the buffet. We really enjoyed the potatoes, the incredibly fresh fruit, the croissants, and especially the bacon. My husband and my in-laws were also impressed with the coffee. We returned on Monday, initially thinking we would just order from the menu, but the buffet was so enticing that we couldn't resist going for it again. The French toast alongside the delectable waffles was a highlight. Everything was fantastic once more. A big thank you to the chefs and servers for the wonderful meals and overall experience!

The Beef Brisket Burger is the most awesome in the menu.... so far. We had to die for French fries, Clam Chowder, Cobb Salat and Queensburger. All delicious and hearty. I wish I lived near bc, that would be my weekly treatment!!!

We ordered the salmon and bagel. chicken and waffles. Friendly staff. Prices standard for the area.
