Super Mex Cantina - Long Beach

I grew up enjoying Super Mex, my favorite Mexican restaurant in Long Beach. I'm a big fan of their salsa and the huge chips they serve.

I had another wonderful experience at Super Mex. This location is on the far east side of downtown, making it very convenient for those exiting the Grand Prix.

The food was delicious, and I would definitely return. When I visited just before closing, the place was quiet, so my waitress only had a few tables to attend to. She was really pleasant.

The food is consistently delicious, and the beer is always cold. The bar doesn't tend to attract a large crowd, so it lacks a lively atmosphere. Additionally, parking can be a challenge, but that's typical for downtown.

We ordered the large pork burritos, and they were excellent! They were flavorful and generously stuffed with cheese.
