Bidra med feedbackThe Pub is great, good beer, good service and can not comment on the general meals available as we didn't have any. This review is solely based on the Korean BBQ and that is not worth the price. $40 per person, minimum 2 people. You certainly should not be hungry when you have this. The meat is cut waiver thin and which makes it stick to the hot plate so that you end up with hardly any meat. In general, the amount of meat is very limited for 2 people. The two sauces available came in very small shallow bowls and again for two people, it was not near enough. That meant we had just try rice, bec there was no sauce to wet it down a bit. The meat was also pretty tasteless, the only good part was the salads. This is a thing a lot of places do, having set menus, for example, minimum two people, and you pay for two people but you don't get food for two people. Not worth the money, there was no value or taste. Have something else to eat there
Andy and his staff are very friendly and the food is amazing. Quite the surprise in such an unassuming pub. They clearly passionate about food and carefully prepared food, clearly made with love and experience.
Eight of us enjoyed a e great evening meal at this pub a little out of the CBD in Bendigo. The choice of beers and local wines is extensive and the meals were outstanding. While the menu may not be extensive as some, some of the in'house' specialities are highly recommended as is the staple fish and chips which was really fresh and perfectly cooked. The garden was a perfect setting on a balmy March evening. With friendly and efficient service we enjoyed a great meal together. 10/10.
Not even if you are in or near North Bendigo, go and support this gem of a public establishment because what they are doing deserves community and other support. BTW... you can sit in their version of a beer garden, which is actually the garden that the kitchen uses. Great idea... needs great support. Go help.
Vin has not been here before but dinner with work colleagues. TA reviews were excellent. Vin had gnocchi with tomato and mushroom not bad but certainly not better than average. Main course gnocchi $25. Range of dishes for party of 8 everyone satisfied but not raving about the food. Some interesting selections on the wine list. Vin preferred a Mitchelton riesling Blackwood $50 per bottle. Very good value. Tuesday night and surprisingly busy. Service good but probably could have done with another server. On this night just average. But would I give them another go yes. Enough to suggest could be better on another night. Will return.
