Bidra med feedbackThe location in Long Island City is currently closed. I called the business number, and they insisted that they were open. It's quite frustrating because the place is hard to find and access. If they are indeed in business, they should make sure to provide accurate information online.
This place is fantastic, but unfortunately, it has been closed since 2020. I reached out to the Halal Guys on their Facebook page to let them know that Google still indicates they are open. I hope they can get that sorted out. However, everyone is aware that they are expected to reopen in autumn 2022. Keeping my fingers crossed!
I visited this restaurant today expecting to enjoy a meal, but when I arrived, it was closed. If you're going to be closed, it's important to change your hours so that people don’t waste their time and money traveling to an empty location. I adjusted my rating to 4 stars after they contacted me with an apology and offered complimentary posters, but the food I ended up getting elsewhere was dry. I’m not even sure if this restaurant is still open.
Today 3/30/21, at 10:00 am, I stopped by The Halal Guys sales car to 53. Street at 10:00, I was told by seniors, they would open at 11:00. I agreed to wait for two cars at 53rd Street. I was shocked to see how the person who took the meat on the (car to the right) cooking, a water pot from a plastic bottle of water, what I saw next, was extremely unhealthy and disgusting when the person who drank the water poured the rest of the water, he drank on the cooking meat that was on top of the flat grill. When I brought it to the attention of the other person who helps with the cart setup, he told me it is because the meat is dry. Another older man came into a van when I mentioned it to him, he told me he was an anger and that the person who poured the water is a new employee. I told him that I'm going to submit a health complaint department that he was pleading with me (No Please No Health complaint). It is a regular practice that this type does every day. Attach is the photo of the Halal Guy sales car the person you see on the left side of the sales car cooking is the same person that poured the DIRTY INFECTED water to the cooking MEAT.
I order a family meal via ubereats and pretty disappointed. Came with meat (we did a mix of chicken and gyro), rice, salad, pita bread and dessert. It came out to be around $50. For the portion, it would be cheaper to get individual platters. The meat didn't taste as good as the one in manhattan and I found a piece of a glove in my salad... That being said I will not order from here again.
