Alex's Bagel Shop - Longmeadow

The bagels are great, but the prices are not.There was no half dozen or dozen bagel option listed on the menu, which is a first for any bagel place I've ever gone to. I ASSUME a bakers dozen of bagels will cost you $24 since one bagel is $1.95, but again, it's not listed on the menu.That same bagel will cost you over $5 to have it toasted with cream cheese! It's a shame they're so expensive considering the bagel itself is very good.

*Edited 5/1* seems like they took some advice and dropped the prices back to about $4 5 for a bagel with cream cheese or egg and cheese. This certainly enticed me to come back. Sadly still stale but a little better what else is around. Crazy that it’s still $4 for black medium coffee though. Total ripoff. People claiming best bagel, I would have agreed a year ago. The prices go up every time I stop by and the quality goes down. Really sad. $4 for a medium black coffee from giv. $7 for a bagel with just sausage…. Used to love it won’t be coming back.

Average at best. Ordering seemed a bit confused. Not sure why. Didn't know what taylor ham was. Ham egg cheese was microwaved. Bagels are small. Had to ask to have it cut in half. Wasn't busy.

Delicious bagels, incredibly fresh ingredients, generous portions, friendly staff. Nice place.

This place has to be the worst bagel shop I’ve ever been too. Let’s start with my first encounter… I stood in line waiting patiently for my turn in line. I see a worker putting more bagels in the racks. He accidentally dropped all the bagels from the tray onto the floor. Okay no problem accidents happen…. He then proceeds to pick up all the bagels dropped on the floor and PUTS them back into the basket for purchase. This was the most disgusting act I’ve ever seen. The worker then proceeds to get into a yelling match with his co-workers. I was in such disbelief I left with no intention of ever coming back. I will never return to Alex’s Bagels, I have to told all friends and family about this experience, and they too will not return. If you enjoy eating microwaved egg sandwiches and Thomas’ bagels that have met the floor, this is the place for you. Will be calling board of health on this one. 0/5 stars. Close this dump.
