Cakes By The Lake - Lorain

I ordered a birthday cake and it was awesome. Tasted wonderful and looked fantastic. We were all very pleased with it. I stop in often and get cupcakes or mini cheesecakes. It’s all delicious.

Ordered my Son’s birthday and it was really delicious and was custom made exactly like my son wished for.The process of ordering was really easy and fast and the cake was of perfect sweetness. We all loved it.

Rarely am I pleasantly surprised by customer service, quality, and execution- but Cakes by the Lake nailed all 3. I went to place an online order during the first week of January, but wasn’t sure about pick up time. I called the next day to clarify, and they kindly informed me they were actually closed this week, but asked what I needed to see if they could support. I was able to order the most gorgeous butterfly cake for pick up within 2 days. We added the “oh baby” toppers but the cake was STUNNING by itself, not only that but it tasted excellent (and we went simple- vanilla with vanilla). The 6” cake easily was plenty for our 13-15 person party, but really elevated the event. We absolutely will be back to support this business for our cake needs. Cannot say enough good things. Thank you!!!

Very good cupcakes got six different flavors offered delicious large can't wait to try again

(Appt aug 29) I paid $20 for a cake testing appointment and no one was there! I called the number and no answer the voicemail box was even full.The day after making the appointment I sent a text (called and no answer) letting them know how many people were coming and what event the tasting was for and didn’t get a response. If they couldn’t do that date they didn’t bother sending a email or call. I messaged them through their Facebook to request a refund. I will update how long it takes to get the refund and how their response was. Unprofessional.Update: aug 30th called store employee couldn’t do anything iguess. So left a not for the owner. Aug 31 got a call but I was busy called back no answer. Next day called again no answer. My email is on file and I contact me at all I just need a refund. DO NOT ORDER CAKES HERE they literally stole my money and I have to do the run around for a refund it’s ridiculous.
