Bidra med feedbackAs for the regular menu items, they were just average—it might have just been an off night for them. The service was satisfactory, which was fine with me. If you decide to go for the Grilled Cheese specialties, I recommend going with friends so you can sample a variety of their offerings. The servings come with generous portions of fries and salads. My personal favorites were the open-faced Braised Lamb and the classic grilled cheese.
As for the Eggs Benedict, everything was delicious apart from the English muffin; I believe it was whole wheat, and it turned out to be rather dry and uninteresting. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and the bacon was thick and of excellent quality. A bit more Hollandaise would have made the muffin more enjoyable. I noticed the interior has changed since my last visit; I don’t recall this burgundy motif from back in the day, but then, my memories might not be very clear.
The food is outstanding. Mark Peel stands apart from many other celebrated chefs in Los Angeles. His menu, which changes frequently, focuses on fresh ingredients and is complemented by an extensive wine selection.
