Curry King - Los Angeles

It's the second time we have checked this place in a week and they are closed on a Saturday night....No sign, nothing yet they sold Groupon....

Chicken tikka masala is sooo good BUTcharging $20 dollars for five pieces of chicken in it and a small rice is ridiculous. Maybe that’s why it’s temporarily closed. Do better Curry King.

My girlfriend and I love Curry King. Food is fantastic, front of house staff is very friendly, turnaround is very quick, take out is just like sitting in.A few things to note though: Most importantly, there's more than one chef. Getting Chicken Tikka Masala for example, you can go in and have an amazing amazing dish, spices are spot on, chicken is a work of art. However, depending on which chef is there, it could also be just kind of average? Not bad, just not what we're expecting, usually a bit on the sweeter/brighter side. I wish the different chefs stuck with the same recipe as it's a bit annoying to want one thing and get the alternate. I won't dock a point, but like, please get this figured out. Indoor dining is usually dead, I'll chalk this up to COVID and all, but it's a bit lonely in there if you're eating at a table. Take that as you want.When food hits though, it hits. My favorite Indian food in LA so far, more to try of course, but that'll take time. Would love to see the buffet open up one day, never got to try it out, but it sounds like a dream come true.

Ordered pick up from this place, they said they accepted the order then sent me a notification that it was ready and when I got to the restaurant it was locked up and closed. Complete waste of my time and had to waste more time on the phone with postmates to get my money back. Trash service.
