El Cochinito - Los Angeles

I'm from Miami aka Little Cubai and I have to say the best Cuban restaurant is not in Miami but in LA at the cochinito. I've been coming here for 20 years everytime I visit and it is by far the best Cuban food. Rice and beans, breaded steak, pork, plantains, EVERYTHING is amazing and authentic. Defintely the place to go for home-cooked Cuban food

I have to say is a great hole on the wall but the food is authentic, delicious, plenty of flavor!! service is great people treat you nice. and always avail. parking is not all the great but i always manage to park : but all that is worth trying out the food.. the warm delicious bread before u eat!

Friendly staff, and great food. The slow roasted pork was excellent, breaded chicken very good. Cafe latte was top notch too. Definitely a must try when in Silver Lake. Cuban cuisine family-owned, nutrin fancy has outdoor patio seating in the parking lot.

Authentic. Well I don't nomally eat Cuban food, because and I eat it every day. But I must say that this place is very good! The simple truth is that I can't find anything wrong with the food, I mean my wife, mother and grandmother are incredible cooks. SO when I eat Cuban food I have something great to comapre the food to, but this place surpasses all my expectations. If you really want to taste exellent Cuban authentic food, this is the place!!
