Esterel - Los Angeles

The food was terrific, the room, attractive, Service was friendly and informed. We liked it.

The food here was unremarkable. The ambiance of the restaurant was fine, but the gaudy decorations of the hotel you have to pass through to get to Esterel clashed

The chicken sandwich was more than expected. Very light and flavorful.

As an appetizer I had what was described as sweet potato fries. It was indeed fried sweet potatoes but they were very greasy and accompanied by incredibly salty fried onions which were deep fried to a point were they tasted like salty paper. The lamb chops were over cooked and not seasoned very well. Overall very disappointing food and in no way resembling French cuisine.

The bartender provided excellent service, and I enjoyed a quick meal that was quite tasty. The lively social atmosphere was a highlight. It's an ideal spot for groups and a perfect place to grab a bite before or after concerts at the Crypto Center.
