Ihop - Los Angeles

Our server went above and beyond for a special order that was no longer on the menu. The chef managed to track down the recipe and made the crepes perfectly. The server was incredibly professional and attentive throughout our meal. However, I found the payment policy a bit restrictive as it only allows for two debit cards per check, and since there were three of us, I ended up sending my share, including the tip, to my friend via Zelle. Later, while enjoying my leftover crepe, I started to wonder whether my friend passed on the tip or kept it. Regardless, I want to make sure I get $20 to the server for his exceptional service. How can I do that?

We experienced excellent and prompt service during our visit. Our food was delivered quickly and was prepared just right. Typically, when we dine at an IHOP, the experience is just average. However, this location truly exceeded our expectations!

This was our first time visiting IHOP in Los Angeles, and I wish the service matched what we're used to in Seattle. It took about 30 minutes for our food to be prepared.

Quick, super friendly, good food, and most importantly clean

It was nice to visit this restaurant, but now it feels more like a fast assembly line. I had hoped to hold a productive meeting here since it’s close to work, allowing my partner and me to have a discussion without interruptions. However, we were disrupted by the waitress, who came over just as we were getting into our conversation to let us know she needed to close out the check because her shift had ended. We paid the bill and I even left a generous tip. Unfortunately, there were no coffee refills and the rest of the waitstaff seemed to completely ignore us. It’s frustrating when you’re interrupted mid-sentence like that. The atmosphere has changed; it now feels like you come in, grab your food, and quickly leave. As for tipping, I’m not sure how to gauge 15% or more when the service is lacking. I genuinely wish everyone here the best, but I’m no longer a fan. Honestly, I could have just taken my meal to my desk and saved the money instead.
