This is the only truly authentic macrobiotic restaurant in Los Angeles. While the menu may seem just "okay" compared to those in San Francisco or New York, it stands out as a significant option for LA. It’s owned by the same person behind Chaya Brasserie. They exclusively serve coffee with soy milk, which works for me but might not please those who aren't fans of soy. I particularly enjoy the tofu cake, tuna rolls, and hijiki inari. The salads can be surprisingly refreshing, as the chill from the deli case really enhances their flavors. And don't miss out on the desserts; the chocolate cupcakes and tiramisu are absolute must-tries!
I eat here every day when I'm in LA. I'm not even joking.
