Fantastic find in the heart of Los Angeles' Fashion District and very close to downtown. I had a scramble with potatoes, spinach and roasted peppers.

The food and service here were exceptional! We had the biscuits and gravy with eggs, hangover helper, and a maple bacon donut!! It was all delicious, coffee was on point and very friendly service!!

We stay a few days in the city of la and read some reviews on the nickel diner. everything about it has been ours so that we felt we should go! it is by no means a polished, shiny, pretentious food. but the staff is attentive, friendly and helpful. the diner itself is clean, full character and decorations. and eating is excellent and the service exceptional. I had the nickel diner chilaquiles (without the chicharrons as veggie), my wife had the blueberry pancakes and our son had the speck donut. we also had a free biscuit with homemade jam. everything was delicious. definitiw recommended for a hearty breakfast to begin your day
