Bidra med feedbackBought two loaves of Challah bread to make a French toast recipe for Easter. Went to Mama’s Bakery after reading reviews. We were $4 short (paying in cash) Mansur (owner) told us just to pay him the next time we were in. We’d never been there before he trusted us to come back pay him whenever. What an amazing individual! Also, his free cookie samples melt in your mouth. We will definitely be back (to pay the $4) to buy more of his baked goods!
Total gem in Los Gatos. I almost want to keep it my secret. Yet, the owner is a wonderful man and the bread is amazing. My children (11, 9 and 7) were taught how his bakery works and even had a lesson in some of the bread baking skills. Of course I was made to wear the apron and was in charge of braiding the loaves. Each time we get cookies and my dog gets some rolls too. I wish I found this place earlier. We go every day for our 6 bread rolls (3 are gone before we get to the car by my children a great afternoon snack with their fruit).
Absolutely amazing! I caller asked if they had gluten free apple pie he said yes then told me he will make is now and call me when it was done. I went to get my pie and he gave me free samples of other baked goods that are gluten free. Most kindest and funny man. I will be going back for sure!
This is a hidden bakery in a small commercial plaza. Very easy to overlook. First time I went, I thought I was entering the back part of the bakery. Regardless of this, which is not important to me, this is a fabulous place to buy delicious cookies and fresh challah. The owner is a super charming and warm. Every time I go, he gives me cookies to try. This last time I went, he asked me where my husband was (my husband went with me the previous time and he remembered! . I told him he was in the car with my daughter so he went to the parking lot to give him some cookies too. He also gave me a little something to take with me with no extra charge. I would go to this place even if this was not the case. I mention it just to give you an idea of how generous he is. He also told me his dad taught him to make bread when he was just a teenager. He has been a baker pretty much all of his life. The bread and cookies are not at steal but they are WORTH every penny. Including the drive to Los Gatos.
I ordered 1/2 sheet cake: gluten free, vanilla flavor, vanilla AND banana filling, and vanilla icing. MY EXPERIENCE ORDERING AT THE PHYSICAL STORE The older man made a small cake sample for me (without the banana). Also, I was given the option to pick it up Saturday morning around 7:30am even though they are closed on Saturdays. If you want a certain cake, just ask to see if it's possible; I asked if I could do both vanilla and banana filling and the guy said yes. I left thinking I just received great service. I don't remember seeing any pre-made samples, and I didn't ask to see any; you might see one if it's waiting to be picked up by a customer. MY EXPERIENCE PICKING UP THE CAKE On the cake, the guy spelled the name BRENDA as BREANDA. I told the guy it's no problem; I am sure he would have tried to fix it if I wanted him to. The guy carefully put the cake box cover on with tape since the cake was too tall for the cover to go all the way down. No issues other than the minor spelling error. He thanked me for coming on time. MY EXPERIENCE EATING THE CAKE The cake was not too sweet which was great. I am the type to order 0% sugar when getting boba. The cake also had a nice density to it; it wasn't too soft or too chewy. The people who ate it were primarily asian, and I have heard nothing but good things. The cake still tasted good 3-4 days after. FINAL THOUGHTS I will make sure to get another cake from here in the future. Excellent service. Delicious cake.
