Bidra med feedbackWe had a reservation at another restaurant, but decided to eat here because it was right by the river. My husband had the cocido montañez, which he loved. I had a chuleta that was amazing. The waiter was excellent. He took care of us right away and kept coming over to make sure we were doing okay. We will definitely return.
This is a nice casual restaurant in a beautiful location, by the river in the enchanting hamlet of Barcena Mayor. The atmosphere is rural and familiar. The menu is mainly local dishes and the usual Spanish meals. Very nice staff. Good prices.
Today we ate at El Puente: we had the menu of the day for 12 euros. The food was like warmed up, several days old food.....it left an acid after taste in both me and my wife 's mouth. The wine was watered down. The derserts were homemade, but very old and dried out. The service was slow and wrong. Asked for catup and got blue cheese dressing. This used to be a great place to eat, but today it 's like a place for tourists and the quality non existent.....just seemed like they were trying to get rid of leftovers. We have decided to go elsewere next time we visit this charming Spanish pueblo.
Recomendable 100
