El Comal Taqueria - Louisville

The best chips and salsa in Dixie, and maybe even in Louisville, to be honest. I could eat a whole bag of their chips on their own. I also love their cheese dip, guacamole, chicken street tacos, pico de gallo, and sopes. Everything is so delicious, I have always had a great meal here.

Excellent service and even better food. As a native San Diegan who KNOWS what a good taqueria looks and tastes like… this was WORTHY of a return visit! The serving was so large we all took some home and enjoyed later for snack.

I ordered take-out and the woman I talked to was very helpful and hospitable. I have trouble with pronouceation/speaking in general, but here the staff was very attentive in hearing what I meant. My partner and I got a lot of street tacos, shared some papas con pollo, and were given chips with salsa. It was all very good, and we got this all on Tuesday too, so most of those tacos were a dollar which is very worth it! I just wish we'd ate in, definitely will next time. What I saw of inside the place looked really nice! They have to-go menus and I took one for next time. I'd recommend grabbing one of those ahead of time if you're taking out, because unfortunately their website is offline at the moment.Vegetarian options: I saw vegetarian options on the menu, but not being one myself I can't speak to how good those are.Parking: The parking is around the building, I went near close and it wasn't hard to find a spot.Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is a slope, and the building was fairly open. I don't think navigating inside with a wheelchair would be difficult, but I haven't tried to myself.

Last night was my first experience and will NOT be my last! Service was exceptional and the food was excellent! The best Mexican food in Louisville…. Hands down! Thank you El Comal! Keep up the great work and I will soon be back for more!!

Decent food but their menu does not reflect the actual price. They have hidden costs on several items and you find out when the bill is printed. Extra for a type of meat or a type of tortilla, etc...I no longer go to eat there because they have had this practice for a few years again. I even asked before eating and the waitress said that there would be no extra cost. When i got the bill and pointed it out she just said sorry. Shame its a dishonest business.
