Le Cafe/bistro Ban Vat Sene

The cappuccino here is decent, which sadly makes it the best in town (I've tried many), and the most expensive (25k). The café itself is lovely, very French.The tartines are spectacular and good value

Great restaurant where you can find some nice crepes and coffee. Good taste and nice service with reasonable price. Highly recommended to take a seat here and grab a nice of coffee or snack.

Recommended : value for money. Love the calmness and atmosphere of the restaurant, also due to its location. Good service from the staff. Would be great if there’re slightly more choices of dishes and also a bit more staff to take care thoroughly.

Laos has the unique taste of French culture infused within the city streets. It permeates in all of the architecture, a large number of tourist and of course all things culinary. We broke away from our routine search of Thai and Laotian this evening and opted to try one of the French bistros along the Sakarine road. We just so happened to stop at Ban Vat Sene and we’re very pleased with our choice. My girlfriend was craving a little something closer to home so she ordered the spaghetti bolognese and a small Neapolitan pizza, and I ordered pho with chicken as well as duck and yellow noodle. All the dishes were prepared and plated beautifully. Everything tasted amazing and felt fresh. We were fortunate enough to have a seat on the walkway itself, enabling us to soak up all the street action while enjoying every bite. The staff and service were top notch and for four dishes and waters, our total was less than 24 dollars Canadian, which I still can’t wrap my head around. It almost feels criminal to eat such high quality at such a low price. Please go support, you will not regret it! To Alex, thank you for seating us and tending to us so graciously. Amazing place, great food, average prices, we got there at around noon, very refreshing vibe, coffee was strong and meticulously decorated top, from the noodles with red duck, great fresh noodles, savory crepes with ham and eggs, sweet crepes, and le grand set, I'm so happy we went to this cafe for lunch, four of us loved it, restroom was also clean and none smelling, attention from the server and co above average for Laos standard, location is pretty centric and convenient for the vicinity to hotels and shops.
