Shipley Do-nuts - Lubbock

My children and I absolutely adore this restaurant! The staff is always so friendly and welcoming. We make it a priority to stop by every Friday before school just to get their delicious donuts, even though it's a bit out of our way. It's definitely worth it!

I decided to try a new restaurant close to home, but I will never go back. I went through the drive-thru and was met by a young blonde with terrible customer service. She seemed annoyed when she came to the window, rolled her eyes when I started ordering, and even seemed dismissive when I told her I would be taking my business elsewhere. I left with a bad impression and will not be returning.

Approximately an hour and a half before closing, we were able to find the items we wanted on the menu at this restaurant. The server was pleasant and the atmosphere was clean. However, we were extremely disappointed with the quality of the food. We ordered a fritter, cake donut, cinnamon roll, and chocolate yeast donut, all of which had an odd taste. I have had better donuts from local bakeries in our small town or from Dunkin' Donuts. I will not be returning to this restaurant, and I am surprised that they have managed to become a chain establishment.

Place is very clean, people very nice. at the beginning 6 o'clock everything was fresh and organized. the taste was fresh. I prefer a local favorite over this place. I will say they have seen filling aswell as Bavarian, which is cool and tasty. they remain open until 6 as my favourite place closes when they run out. that will be the next best.

Went thru the drive thru …1st time visiting this place on 19th St… ordered donut holes … my favorite … a man standing there talking … looked to be the boss … dressed differently than the workers … the lady told him “donut holes” … he said “is that it”? Then he threw the bag to another worker that was standing about 4-5 ft away … I was shocked to say the least … the girl was sweet but you could tell she was new … the whole business is new … my donut holes were not fresh … appeared to have been left over from yesterday … the glaze was crackly … I’ll give them one more chance and then if it’s not better … I’ll be back to Rise and Shine … hard to beat them anyway …
