Taco Villa - Lubbock

I'm usually a big fan of Taco Villa. This place is the exception. Just waited 30 minutes in the drive to say there was a ?hold on meat? on arrival in the window. I am less annoyed about the lack of meat, things happen, and more annoyed that it was?t until we arrived in the window (with a line of cars that surround the building), that it was not available to us over half the menu. Then just turn the window into my face after I said I was not interested in beans as substitution (it would have been a strange crispy taco experience). Better. Send someone out of the kitchen to let people wait, hand the problem instead of wasting their time.

Quick line even though they were very busy. Super friendly staff. Good prices and pretty good food. I would have given 5 stars but they did leave 2 things off our order (which they happily and quickly fixed). We will for sure go back next time we are in town.

This location is always hit or miss on the food. The service is good, but I will often times get sour tea or my food will be cold (beans cold hard not melted cheese) and taco shells will be stale. Anytime we have addressed it, the problems stop for a short time, but after a few visits the same issues present themselves. It's a shame because this location is on my way home, and we have just avoided it all together and go to another location.

Staff is killing it! Very obviously understaffed right now. Brendon was running both inside and drive through registers at the same time when I was there. If mistakes are made they are quick and happy to fix it.

7727 Milwaukee is definitely the worst Taco Villa in Lubbock. This place consistently messes up orders. The way they make their food is not the same as the other locations either. I?d recommend checking your order thoroughly before leaving the drive through. Or better yet, skip this Taco Villa and go to another. All other Taco Villas I?ve been to are excellent IME.
