The Pecan Grill At The Overton

Food are okay. Friendly server and personnel. Will definitely come back next special occasion.

Four steaks and one duck entree. Only one was properly cooked. When the server asked how the steaks were, I showed her my supposedly medium rare steak had no pink at all. She offered to have the chef look at it to see if he thought it was overdone! They didn't charge us for two of the four entrees, so I guess that was their way of meeting us in the middle, although not quite as I sent my back uneaten. I don't see myself going back again, which is a shame. We've been eating at the Pecan Grill even when we don't stay at the Overton for six years. This was the culmination of a visible decline over the past two.

Our service was horrible. Once we ordered, our waitress was pretty much non-existent. For the most of our time there, we were the only ones dining! Our food was also sub-par. Nothing that knocked our socks off! We have had great experiences here before but it will not be our first choice for our next celebration.

We went during a slow time for the restaurant. Our sever was very attentive and the food was excellent. The selection was limited by shortages on some of the dishes. Overall it was a good experience and we will return.

We were the only people in the restaurant when we arrived, with 5 people in our party. We sat at a nice private booth. It was a nice atmosphere. One person left for a minute and the waiter insisted on telling us the specials but did not take our drink order. A different person brought water but waited maybe 15 minutes to order drinks. We were ready to ordered appetizers then but they left and didn't come back for quite a while longer. After being there over an hour we eventually were brought a salad, two seafood entrees, and three different steak entrees. No one was pleased with the entrees. The three with steak filet, delmonico, and New York strip did not even bother to finish the meals. They were done correctly but the taste was mediocre. There was nothing special about the presentation and I would not suggest this place for a special occasion. The pace is extremely slow and there was no one walking around. I never even had my water refilled. Texas has lots of great places to get steak and this is not one of them.
