The Speakeasy Bar Restaurant - Luray

This is a lovely restaurant. My Cordon Bleu was absolutely delicious. The portions are on the smaller side, so I recommend ordering some appetizers. We had to wait about 20 minutes. You put your name on a list and can wait by the door, in the couch area, or at the bar. The server was very friendly. The chocolate cake with Bourbon ice cream was the highlight of the meal!

We celebrated our honeymoon in a nearby cabin and visited this restaurant three times during our stay. The food was outstanding, and the service was exceptional. Our waiter, Hank, went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful experience. The bourbon ice cream (made by Chef Harris?) was the best I've ever tasted, and every appetizer and entrée we tried was delicious. I highly recommend the Duck Empanadas appetizer!

For our main courses, we ordered the black bean burger, the carved duck, and the Reuben sandwich. Each dish was a hit! The black bean burger was possibly the best I've ever had, and the duck was incredibly tender. The desserts were just as impressive – the peanut butter terrine was outstanding, and the chocolate cake was also delicious. Our waitress, Patience, provided excellent service. I highly recommend The Speakeasy!

Started with a fabulous server, drinks that were great and food that was best ever had on the trip! If we were local would be a good to place. I had steak with mushrooms and gravy, hubs had snapper and fried green tomatoes that were wonderful. Great experience!
