Mellow Mushroom - Lutz

I really like this place. They've got several specialty all veggie pizz pies, with the option for vegan cheese.

The atmosphere of this pizza place is really fun, the artwork on the walls is awesome. We got the pretzel bites, which are vegan if you ask for no butter no cheese. I got the Pacific Rim pizza and subbed in vegan cheese and tempeh for the mozz meat. I asked for my tempeh to be tossed in bbq sauce but they forgot, that would have made it soooo much better! I just ate it anyway and it was good, but it's definitely on the more expensive end for pizza.

Always have loads of vegan options and the servers are always knowledgable on how to make non-vegan dishes vegan (like substituting for their vegan cheese). I have gotten the veggie pizza and added vegan cheese and also the tempeh hoagie is delicious and I always add the vegan cheese! I go to Mellow Mushroom time and time again in all different cities because I can always rely on them to have lots of vegan options, have knowledgable staff, and its a great place to meet up with your non-vegan friends and family since they have such a large menu at any of their locations. The waitress was very friendly and the menu was great for vegans and non-veganers alike. My omni bf and I shared a large pizza with vegan cheese, banana peppers, caramelized onions and mushrooms. We both, though it was really good and had leftovers in the following night. Unfortunately, they were sold from the time we went, but I'm glad to try the next time. The menu is also marked with a V next to the vegetarian options, but there is no vegan labelling that would be great to see a day.

The vegan pizza is very good. I enjoy the thin crust. You can also build your own with additional options.
