Dixie Saloon - Mackinaw City

We stopped by on a dreary day because this place looked warm and inviting, and it did not disappoint. Our fantastic bartender, who was seven months pregnant, was doing an incredible job managing both bar and table service during a busy time. They had great beers on tap, and our lunch sandwiches and sides were delicious. We returned another day for breakfast, and once again, the service was excellent. The delightful Natale was a real gem, serving us delicious food and coffee to kick off a long day. I highly recommend this place!

The restaurant had a fantastic vibe, an excellent location, and a friendly staff. We visited on open mic night, which was a lot of fun! However, I deducted a star because the fish and chips were rather disappointing—the fish was clearly not Atlantic cod, despite what was claimed, and when I inquired, they insisted it was. On a positive note, the waitress was very polite and accommodating!

It was a great way to end the evening after visiting Headlands Park. The food and drinks were enjoyable, and I particularly loved the pretzel bites and boneless wings! Our server was friendly, attentive, and ensured our orders were served promptly. We arrived just before it got too busy. I would definitely say it was worth the stop!

Our family of four came here for lunch due to the location, reviews and history. We had all day breakfast pancakes with sausage which my daughter loved, a chicken walnut cranberry salad, hamburger with fries and bbq pork sandwich with onion rings. It wasall very good. the fries and onion rings specifically were really good! Service was VERY friendly but just a touch slow. Ittook a very long time to pay and leave.

Sat outside and waited 10 minutes to have our order taken. We ordered the chicken cranberry salad. The wait was long and it didn?t seem too busy. The salad finally showed up and it was terrible. Menu specified ?mixed greens? but it was just romaineand iceberg. They were out of blue cheese and feta cheese. The chicken is not real chicken. Frozen, barely reheated, fakechicken that comes in a plastic bag. Not great, 1 star overall, food and service
