Fresh Air -b-que - Macon

The place in macon is its relatiw new location for a barbeque operation that was launched in 1929. the 90-year experience shows. this visit was during the time of covid, so the only tables were the picnic tables from the side. oh, and do not touch the bagged brownies at the theke! brunswick onepot is probably part of their order. good toy, but I felt that everything was cut too fine so that it seemed no texture. but I'm not 91 years old like fresh air, so who am I to say? the bbq sponge (also finely chopped was very good with a strong bbq taste. that should be a stop when you roll along I-75. (heads up for the summer of 2020: meat prices have risen so that menu prices have been raised accordingly. even if each evaluation had helped them decide yes or no for each location, they give this writer a thumb up!

Very good. A Macon landmark restaurant. The restaurant was clean. Bathrooms clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Not a huge selection on the menu, but they do an exceptional job on the items they specialize in: Pulled Pork, Chicken and Ribs. Delicious!!

Each choice is tasty and had the old fashioned taste that made them famous. The staff is extra fun and friendly, and tonight sent some meaty bones home with me for my little Sheltie's birthday. She reports the surprise was delicious and Tam has declared Fresh Air her favorite BBQ place and officially gives them two paws up.

Somewhat disappointing. Coleslaw was very finely diced. So was the brunswick stew was almost pureed, may have been able to drink it through a straw. It was very flavorful though. BBQ sauce was very thin. I should have noticed the small spout on the container. Soaked right through the bread. Pork was chopped very fine. This is a great place if you have no teeth. But again the flavor was good.

Well all I can say is amazing the menu is small they know what sells and they specialize in the products that are the best. I went with half chicken baked beans coleslaw drink and bread which the portions were more than enough for me. There’s no table service you order pay then find a seat and enjoy your food keeping it simple I like very much.
