Bidra med feedbackSushi Muramoto offers the finest sushi you'll find between the two coasts, hands down. It's incredibly fresh, delicious, and has a unique flavor that sets it apart from any other sushi I've tried. I'd love to eat it every day, but I’m content with once a week. Make sure to sample the special rolls—they're all fantastic! The new Rosa Salmon is an instant favorite, the Dragon roll is fantastic, Godzilla is a reliable choice, and the Tarantula and Fire rounds out my top five. And there's more: they also serve the best shrimp tempura—be sure to ask for it crispy, paired with an incredible dipping sauce. The miso black cod is so delicious you won’t believe it’s a healthy option. I often order the teriyaki chicken with broccoli, which is quite surprising since I’ve never liked teriyaki dishes anywhere else. The service has greatly improved from being inconsistent years ago; it's now exceptional. Sushi Muramoto is perfect for any occasion, whether it's a family outing, a business lunch, dinner with friends, or a date. Keep in mind, they don't take reservations unless for large groups, but the wait is absolutely worth it.
The sushi was absolutely exquisite—likely the freshest fish I've ever tasted in Madison. The rolls I tried, including the Ecuador, Dragon, and Alaskan, are shown in the picture from top to bottom. The fish was so tender that it practically melted in my mouth. While the service could have been better, I understand it was a slow Sunday. On the bright side, their cocktail menu is fantastic, featuring some really inventive options. Overall, it was the perfect lunch, and I can't wait to return!
For those with dietary preferences, there are plenty of vegetarian (pescatarian) options, including many vegan and vegetable-based dishes. The restaurant boasts an extensive bar with a wide selection of liquors. While sushi can be on the pricier side, the menu includes affordable options, making the combos an excellent choice for those looking to enjoy sushi without overspending. If price isn't a concern, there are plenty of high-quality fish, eels, and squid to choose from. Personally, I loved the spicy tuna roll and the seabass. The restaurant is conveniently located on the main street of the shopping mall, offering street parking as well as a free parking structure. It is ADA accessible, but keep in mind that seating is limited, so it might not be ideal for large groups.
Interesting menu options! We had sushi. Ask the server how many rolls to order for your group size. Wished the dessert menu was larger, but the creme brulee was very good.
Very good sushi from a sushi snob going back tonight
