Blue Marlin Takeaway - MALENY

First time for 3 years, since poor experience. Good result today, after friend’s recommendation. Had barramundi, battered, with chips and calamari rings. Fish moist and tasty, batter light and crispy, Chips seemed home made, crisp and not greasy. Portions generous, small chips more than enough for two. Service friendly and quick. Only criticism, calamari overcooked and dry. Suggest salt and pepper calamari squid , would be a tastier alternative on the menu.

We stopped here for lunch after visiting the Maleny Dairies and were very pleasantly surprised. We saw that the star rating was average but since we weren’t from the area just decided to go with the quickest and easiest food. Well we felt the average star rating did not reflect what we got. The service was exceptional. The food was fantastic. Our daughters had chicken nuggets and devoured them in super speed. The chips were very yummy. Also got a hamburger and fish burger. I loved that they both came with beetroot and and tomato without even having to ask for it or to pay extra. You don’t usually get those as standard. Shall stop by again when we are in the area!

A great meal. We had a fantastic meal of crumbed fish, calamari and chips and had no complaints. Everything was great. We'll be back.
