Marmalade Cafe - Malibu

I visited several Marmalade cafe locations and tried the hazelnut salad with an extra shot of espresso with almond milk. Although it was delicious, it was a bit too sweet for my taste. The temperature was perfect and the customer service was excellent. It is a lovely breakfast spot with many small shops nearby. I also tried the chicken tortilla soup, calamari, and salmon salad. The tortilla soup had good pieces of chicken and a tasty broth. The calamari was a bit overcooked, but the sauces were flavorful. The salmon salad had a solid piece of salmon and a delicious tangy dressing. Overall, I would recommend stopping here before a day at the beach.

Food was great! Staff friendly! Food was great! The menu has so many interesting choices, could come back several times to go through the list. I thought I would try the classic Burger and Pommes combination. The food was great! Next time I'll try their breakfast menu. Pancake sounds really good.

7/24/2022: Location Malibu for breakfast. The GOOD: the food saved this review. Name the egg, mushroom fried with fresh sourdough for toast was a homer; Rate it 10/10. The Lachseier Benedikt was also good, but was cold, prices 7/10. The BAD: the service. While nobody was rude, it's like nobody's responsible. He started with the order and then went down hills. 5 different people had to be beaten down for different things, because when something had dropped off at the table, the staff took care of another table to throw something different. Things I had to move the staff included in the price: Thanks for the coffee, but need a spoon to mix things. Cream, was not given although it was ordered. Bring more cream because the dimble size container is just enough for one and there are more of us. Water, straw, coffee refills, jam to go box. No one asked, that was all we raise our hands for help. Be proactive.

Marmalade Cafe offers good size shares. Today we had the classic eggs Benedict and the breakfast Tacos. Everyone came with 3 portions and one side. The eggs Benedict had good taste and the fried eggs were done in perfection. Good portions of ham, but maybe have used a little more Hollandaise sauce. The potatoes were cold, slightly dry and without taste. The breakfast tacos have a plentiful amount of eggs and breakfast fixations. The woman couldn't eat near it, but she said it was good. The coffee we had was a bit bitter, but they offered us taste syrup for him and had half and half, so too. Overall, I would go back and try something else. The Peleo breakfast they offered looked good, maybe try it next time.

Grabbed breakfast on a busy Sunday. There was a car meet so the lot was packed. Other than that the hostess was nice but the service was subpar (Yes, even for to go orders). Waited about 10 mins before anyone said hello or acknowledged us. Overall the food was tasty and I was happy they had healthier options available. I?m giving 4 stars due to the fact they let me keep the chicken breast after I ordered the chicken sausage. ?? Service can use major improvement/professional development.
